3 Minute Thesis and Graduate Research Innovation Exchange

On February 16, 2024, WPI hosted two events for graduate students. At the 3 minute thesis (3MT) competition post-qualifying exam students present their thesis work in under 3 minutes with 1 static slide. At the Graduate Research Innovation Exchange (GRIE), students presented a poster of their work in their work and the attendees voted for a People’s choice award.

From the Srinivasan lab, Ekra Jean-Yvez presented at the GRIE and received a People’s Choice award for his work, “Genetic Studies of Trypanosomes Infesting Cattle from Savannah District in North of Cote D’Ivoire.”

Caroline Muirhead presented her work, “How Worms Can Teach Us About Decision Making,” at the 3MT.

Elizabeth DiLoreto presented her work on “Changing Our Brains with Bacteria,” at the 3MT as well. She received an honorable mention for her presentation.
