CIMS members Burt Tilley, Homer Walker and Suzanne Weekes were some of the organizers for a three-day workshop on Industrial Problems in Radar and Seismic Reconstruction, hosted at the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM), which took place September 11-13, 2017.  Each of the first two days of the workshop will begin with background talks, after which experts from industrial and governmental laboratories will present “real-world” problems to workshop participants. The participants will then brainstorm possible approaches to the problems under the guidance of the experts. On the third day, designated participants will present summaries of the proposed approaches and their potential advantages and disadvantages.
