Srinivasan Lab receives NIH Grant

The Srinivasan Laboratory is happy to announce that NIHR01 funding for over five years has been awarded to the lab! The project is titled “Functional connectome of sex-specific processing of social cues”.  Neuropathologies such as Alzheimer’s and schizophrenia exhibit gender biases suggesting the existence of gender specific neural circuits.  Using the model organism C. elegans, the proposal will shed light on such disorders by elucidating the  neural circuits involved in gender specific behavioral responses to diverse olfactory cues.
