Research Experience for Teachers

From six weeks in the summer of 2023, we hosted two high school teachers, Rachel Adamsky and Tina Vlad, for a genuine Research Experience for Teachers funded by the NSF. This program was centered around Engineering for People and the Planet and was guided by the UN sustainability goals. Our goal was good health and well-being.

Rachel and Tina researched how vape liquid containing nicotine affected the health of the worms. They hope to continue this work into the classroom and see how vaping affects learning and memory.
